      According to this:



      HSM weighs 180grs whereas RP cases weigh 165. So your loads will generate more pressure.

          Who makes your 150gr sp bullet ???.. Check out their website or reloading manual,,, and see if they tested with 2015.... If they did but used Rem,, Win or Federal brass (commercial brass) ,,, subtract 1 to 1.5 grains from their listed minimum to maximum ,,, and start at minimum and work up...Your brass is heavy,, treat it like military 308 brass and download the powder charge to be safe... A ladder test up from the minimum,,,by .05 grains ,,,,and check for pressure signs...

            Go to the Accurate website. See what they say about using it with .308 or 150 grain bullets. If Accurate doesn't support it, (they probably do), then I wouldn't use it. Go with another powder. Varget or something.

                  the bullets are 150 gr SP #3031 this load I'm using is 1 grain under at 37, min was 38 in the book for this round minus the brass weight

                    While what J-cat posted is true, there is still no reason to go below minimum ever. your faster burning powder will help you get more velocity in that short barrel.

                    I work the opposite way when I'm working up loads. but you need about a decade of reloading experience before you try what I'm doing. Basics of reloading can be taught but the vast majority needs to be experienced over time.

                          I use IMR 4895, Varget, and CFE223 mostly. Sometimes 4198 and 4895 for cast, Lyman manual has data for these two powders.

                            The phenomenon you describe occurrs when you have less than 50% load density which is not the case with 37grs of 2015 in any 308 case.

                            Do you understand the effect of decreased case volume on pressure?
