    I started on a Lee loader for the 270 . Then 45 .
Right now I / we reload 15 calibers and I have a Lee
for each one except my 25 ACP -it was loaned out and
    not returned .
Don't get wrong idea , 99.9 % reloads are on the
    loadmaster .
One good thing about the Lee hand loader is it will fit
    in a 6 pack cooler with primers , cases , pills [ bullets ]
for finding best load for your gun .
That also is a good place to store until you either give
up and buy ammo or upgrade to a press .
People are going to post Lee sucks - go to for sale market
place and see how many Lee's are for sale as compared to other brands .
Go to ebay and buy a used Lee reloading manual [ 1st
edition are cheaper ] and start reading it .

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this basic set up?

      Thanks for any input.

If you want to try one, I have an old .38/.357 one that I was going to ask $20 for.

Get a reloading manual and read it. That will answer most questions.

If you live near me you can come over and I will walk you thru the process and give you some tips/tricks on reloading. I load for approx. 35 different cartridges and have been safely loading a very long time.

Thank you for the links. It helped me wonder what I needed to start reloading. I was looking at the same reload kit prior to reading this post. I created a wish list so I can come back to it. The total came down to $342 not including tax and shipping.

Well at least SOMEBODY got something out of this thread. OP has 2 posts.

The Lee Classic Turret is all I need. But I only load pistol. And I don't load more than 50 rounds at a time. That's assuming they are tumbled, deprimed and primed in a previous evening.

I always tare the scale with a casing prior to powder drop.

Enjoy, it will keep you out of trouble.

I had to check OP was for a 38sp and you ordered for a 380
One thing I do is buy extra batteries for caliper . It sucks to find a low battery . [ 4 for a buck at dollar store ]
When we use it , it is generally for more than one caliber / case size
FYI , turn it on 15 minutes before using

Take Drivernhunter up on the offer, the best way to see what is involved when reloading. You will then have some information that you can use to make good decisions. Reloaders are great people that enjoy passing on their knowledge.
You can make ammo that is cheaper and more accurate then factory.
