Don't neck size after trimming.
You can use the neck sizer in the last station, but adjust the die body up 1/2" and the decap/expand stem down 1/2".
Also, remove the decapping pin because there's no place for a spent primer or a decapping pin to go in station 5.Randall Rausch

Giraud or Gracey
I've got a Giraud and love it. It has made trimming ALMOST enjoyable. A friend has a Gracey and he is very pleased with it as well. With one of those, you just trim them all...... (I typically load min 500+ rounds at a sitting, and I do all the brass prep first.) You obviously want to resize first (as that's what makes the brass grow) and the Giraud/Gracey trimmers index off the shoulder, not the case base.
I was using an RCBS manual trimmer that I added the power unit to, then added the little dealy cutter that also deburrs/chamfers, and then finally bit the bullet and bought the Giraud. It would have been cheaper just to buy the Giraud at the beginning, but occasionally I dust off the RCBS when I'm loading something other than .308 Win (what I currently have the Giraud set up for). The Giraud is good enough for highpower, but the bench-bound probably think that it is crude.
It was a bit of an expense when I bought it, but I've long forgotten the brief pain of paying for it!

Today's problem: With the dillon .223 dies you cant remove the decapping pin while trying to retain the expanding piece. So I would have to break off the decapping pin. So it would have to be decapping die at station 1 and trimmer at station 3 (but then I cant use the toolhead pin, the vacuum collar interferes) and then the neck expanding die at station 5. Am I doing something wrong or what? And why dont the dillion directions say I have to size the neck afterwards?Comment

You don't need to SIZE the neck after trimming, you just need to EXPAND the neck.Today's problem: With the dillon .223 dies you cant remove the decapping pin while trying to retain the expanding piece. Put the sizing die into the first station of the LOADING toolhead instead in the sizing/trimming toolhead.
Make sure you adjust it up 1/2" so you don't size the neck.
Then adjust the decapping stem down 1/2" so you expand and decap.
One pin is enough to hold the toolhead into the press.Randall Rausch

AH! Got it. Just to make sure, will the sizing die on the loading toolhead will not need lubed brass because it is not sizing, right? I appreciate your help AR15.Comment

The sizing die on the loading toolhead will not need lube.
There will be enough leftover dust from tumbling to act as a dry lube for the neck expander button.
Adjusting the die up 1/2" keeps the outside of the case from touching the inside of the die.Randall Rausch
