      ...

Yeah...ammo prices are dropping like lead. Everyone can stop panic buying...also no need to rush to Walmarts anymore...they will be fully stocked at all times with low prices.

all kidding aside, i do not see ammo prices coming down. i think they may stop climbing (everything has a limit), but not falling.

i see people dredging odds and ends that were bought right or bought long ago out, cashing in, and still the demand outstrips the supply by a heap.

...but, I dont know what to recommend.

Its getting hard to even get ammo... at any price. Check ammunitiontogo, or ammoman. 223 FMJ is sold out at ammunitiontogo, they use to have pages and pages of stuff, walmart is out everytime I check.

I don't think it will go down significantly - maybe a little drop - and then it'll head back up.

Look at who's buying up the copper mines, brass, powder - and that will answer all of these questions. If the economy heads into an inflationary period as all of the economists have projected - then ammo is going up - not down.

Copper, nickel, brass, gold, silver, etc. - all have value - in an inflationary economy - these go up - not down.

the costs of loaded ammunition are in great excess compared to the costs of the raw materials. pricing depends on labor costs (dropping in the current market) as well as others. when the market value of lead and copper tripled in '04-'06 how much did ammo go up in cost (~50% if recall correctly though I was buying only rimfire until two years ago)

essentially ammo is its own consumable commodity subject to market pricing. As long as demand is sufficient the prices can be quite high.
