    I've never experienced this (short life for .45 Colt brass). I have been max loading .45 Colt for 20 years and I have only lost two or three cases because of cracking (and this may be due to over expanding the case mouth). Federal brass is the best, been beating the crap outta these and they still load fine with no issues. All shot through Ruger Blackhawks.
