    Oh, I wouldn't go that far

    I sort my competition .38Spl brass by headstamp...it all started as once-fired wadcutter loads from when I shot PPC.

    I resize and deprime them, then I trim it to a uniform length, bevel and chamfer the case mouth, before loading them with a Redding Dual-ring die set with a Micrometer Competition Seating die

      For example: 9mm, the bullet is .355 Dia. The brass is 0.010 case thickness per side (avg) x2=0.020
      So .355 +.020=.375. At the case mouth should measure .375 would equal no crimp and flare removed. So I taper crimp to.374 with lead hardcast bullets. Gives me just right amount of crimp. Works well for me.
