    10MM Auto

In all my many years of shooting I will pick up my first 10MM handgun, a Glock 20SF, and would like to know about the ammo available. I hear 10MM is watered down from what it used to be. Is there still full power 10MM available? The Glock comes with a 17 pound recoil spring and seemed kind of light when I racked the slide in the gun store. Where is everyone buying their ammo for their 10MM guns?

Armscor, because they use starline brass and I pick up the brass to relaod.
Full power I use double tap.
If you want to use high pressure loads the stock barrel doesn't have full chamber support, so check out a lone wolf barrel. I also changed out to a 23lb recoil spring.

The manufacturers named are good sources for 10MM. I am too cheap to buy it from those guys and reload my own. Selection of strength depends on the day I reload, as I usually decide that when I open my charts to select a load. It is a great cartridge to reload and shoot enjoy.

Same boat. I just bought a g20sf. I reload as well. Range was fun shooting some 180 fmj with 11 grains of blue dot. A bit stout [emoji2]

180 gr projectile, 8.6 grains of power pistol is where I found my sweet spot. I tried to mirror it pretty closely with underwood factory loads, and have been very pleased so far.

            S&B for the range.

Stainless recoil rod with 20lb spring. I've yet to go shoot my 21sf with stock 20 upper.

Barnes Tac-XP (all copper) for hunting.

Selway armory had some good deals.

Check gun.deals and ammoseek for deals. Watch out for shipping fees.

Ammunition Depot has free shipping if you spend $250 or more.

My load is pretty close to that. I'm using 8.5 grains of power pistol under a 180 grain HP from Precision Delta.

My Delta Elite is very happy with it.

I like AA#9 in my 10mm. Good fill and good reliable, accuate load.

Longshot powder is my propellant of choice for 10mm, stout yet manageable.

Last armscor i bout couple years ago it was not starline brass and the armscor brass was not too good for reloading was ok for mild loads but was getting too much case expansion on med power loads.

My medium power loads do fine with any other brass.

Add to that list CorBon They were always the hot 10mm load back in the day.

their original JHP 10mm 165 grain listed velocity is 1250 FPS, Thats what 10mm is supposed to be.

I had some unknown fired starline i loaded pretty hot it didnt smile but i measured case expansion and it was near limit. This was about 14.7 of aa9

Once fired armscor brass was showing the same expansion with 13.5 of aa but with 13.0 its been fine for a couple of reloads.I have some ppu brass thats been fine and also have a new batch of starline too.But for now i know my safe max for my glock 20 factory barrel aint gonna push anymore til i get a fully supported barrell.

Normal plinkers i load 13.0 and a handful of 14.0
