Any laws or policy about delivering ammo?

My ups driver told my mother in law that I can not order Ammo and have it delivered to my apartment because it is a shared space

I thought that was odd so I shipped to my friends house

Come today. I ordered boolits and he asked her what's inside. If it's boolits I told you you can't deliver it here.

He doesn't have a right to ask what's inside is what irks me

Is he overstepping his job? I told my mother in law to never open the door for safety reasons. I think he doesn't like lugging it up and down

I am about to call and see if I can file a complaint

It should be none of the UPS fed EX whomever it may be business what you have delivered.
Next time should the driver ask,say its fishing weight. You fish a lot and need sinkers.
    Keep it simple!

      Report him.
It is not his decision and there is no policy on this.

He just doesn't want to lug the heavy boxes into the complex.
It's not a shared space, it is your residence.

Last thing I want is for some crazy ex ups driver showing up cause he got fired over me.

But I thought about confronting him. Too bad I'm not home when he comes around

Report the clown to the circus master.

I get ammo delivered all the time to an apartment address. I also got powder a few times.

You need to report him and file a complaint.
He may be a library anti-gun case and if not he may just want to carry it to your residence. Either way he is saying so called rules that are not in place and are only his rules. The company will not like that. I would not worry about him showing up to confront you. First he will probably not get fired and he will not want you going to his bosses again. Also his kind will go away and cry in his safe place and whine about what he has to do.

Actually the only time I felt sorry for the USP driver was when we had a nice lady driver and I had an order of 17,900 rounds of ammo. Unfortunately it was all delievered on the same day. I did feel sorry for her that day.

              Your choice.

Report him or live with his BS and strain your friend's relationships by having them hold your deliveries.

He probably doesn't like that we never answer the bell. Too many crazy people to open the door now a days.

I don't even care if he brings it. Just leave a notice and I'll go get it as I work close to pickup

I'll see if I can contact them tomorrow.

None of his ****ing business and he is full of ****. Unless your mother in law is a felon...

Call and ***** about his nosiness and when you do- BE ****ING MAD! BE SNAP YOUR HEAD OFF RAVING LUNATIC MAD ABOUT THIS BULL**** HE JUST DUMPED ON YOU! Except do NOT cuss at them or they will hang up and have a right to hang up.

I conveyed my thoughts to the idiotic AT&T woman today when I called in and I was so pumped and ready to go, that I blasted AT&T as soon as she answered the phone. I told her that she was not able to help me and I did not care for formalities and I had no spare time to be on the phone and I needed her to transfer me to someone that could help me with my online account. I did not even get a chance to cuss at her (nor would I have done that) and the ***** hung up on me. I think she felt the vein popping out of my neck over the phone. When I called back I changed it up a bit, After navigating through the phone guy idiot menu, as soon as the operator in ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE got on the phone, I told her my first name and then told her to transfer me to her supervisor. I said it in a tone that was pissed off ready to pounce, but I said it slowly enough for her to understand and she was like- AHH HELL NO I AM GETTING OUTTA DA WAY! And she transferred me to her supervisor, where I under great control, blasted all of the incompetence of AT&T and then blasted the first girl for hanging up on a needful customer that now had to navigate the automated menu TWICE just to get to one person.

But THAT is how you need to be, You need to convey that you are VERY upset over what was said but do not go too far and blame the person you are talking to. You want them to see a chance to make things right and turn your day around and HOPEFULLY they are trained correctly and would be happy to do that.

Cause I know how to talk to a phone operator...

A liberal who doesn't want anyone to have guns or ammo, and thinks that all who own either one are crazy people on the verge of going postal. What is in your package is no business of his.

Report him and file a complaint.

It's up to the driver's discretion if he wants to leave the package or not. UPS's policy is not to leave packages at addresses with common entries or hallways, and mostly applies to apartments.

It doesn't mean that you can't have it delivered there. If he decides your building is a high risk for driver release, he still needs to make an attempt. I think they're making one attempt now, then redirecting the package to a local pickup location, which could be the UPS building or a UPS Store.

Not his business to ask what's in the packages.

Got a question...OP didn't put where he lived did he? Are there not places in California where ammo and guns cannot be delivered? I don't know for sure...
No problem in San Diego but I think there may be zip codes that are off limits for delivery.
God and the Constitution give me my rights and actions...any other input is just blabbering.

I live in south San Francisco. Not San Francisco but a completely different city.

I remember calling ups before to track packages and talk to someone and it was a pain

For future reference, you might want to get it delivered to a hub and then go pick it up yourself. Kinda a pita, but much more secure if nobody is home.

Still not this guy's business to know what is inside.

I called and filed a complaint. They were very prompt on asking the driver and having the hub call back.

Driver said it was a miscommunication and that he ment to say the property manager said not to leave Ammo at the door step. I understand that. But when my wife opened the door that should have been that.

I have never gotten a package stolen or reported a lost package from my apartment address for anything if it's left at my door step

If it's left in the lobby who knows.

Let's see if he try's this again
