22LR Hoarders - am I out to lunch?

I've picked up 2 of the Remington buckets of 1400 rounds of 22LR recently for $73 and another for $78. My kids are stoked to be able to shoot again. Is the 22lr hoarding epidemic over?

Are all of the old farts who stood for hours in line at all the Wal-Marts and Turners stuck with their overpriced stockpiles? Is anyone paying $200 for a bucket of bullets anymore?

Just wondering. Am I out to lunch?

4 cents a round is frequent now
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

They're just going to hold their stashes till the next democrat gets elected president and the panic buying resumes.

Exactly....just enjoy the prices we have currently and go shoot with the wife and kids. Buy as much as you can afford to me ammo is as good as money in the bank sometimes even better.

I am old enough to have had to put up with this bulls*it once before, back then you had to fill out a form and leave your thumbprint. I have bought enough rimfire on sale to go for quite some time (years), and am filling the gaps in my reloading supplies. I don't plan on going hat in hand to beg for ammunition from the Libtards.

I've still got 22 I bought in the 70s. During the "crisis" I was able to trade stuff for for a couple nice guns. 3 bricks of 22 (cost .39 a box) for a 99% OM Ruger Bearcat and 1000 rounds of 5.56 I paid $2.49 a box for a Ruger No1. Now that it's cheap again I've restocked not paying more than 7 cents a round.

Since you can find ammo sitting on the shelf at Walmart, I think it'd over until Thanksgiving.

You can find Mini-Mags at Walmart for $7.47 per sleeve, not quite to the old prices but close.

I was even able to buy 3-550 bricks of Federal Bulk .22LR.= for Wally World.

I had stacked up some CCI mini mags at the foot of my bed when I ran out of room. Just above my headboard is two shelves of reloading gear so I sleep backwards in my bed in case the shelves fall in the middle of the night.
One night I was sleeping and I heard a pop which woke me up around 2AM. I couldn't find anything or anyone around. About 3 AM I heard another pop and felt something hit me in the head.
Apparently I stacked those 100 round sleeves to deep and they where cracking under the weight of the other sleeves. In the morning I found just short of 20 sleeves either cracked or with pieces of plastic missing.

If they are selling in CA, they're going have to work a little harder next time around.

all those old guys that horded to re-sell will have a rude awakening starting jan 1st 2018.

since all private sales of ammo will be illegal. good luck trying to find enough people to buy their stuff by word of mouth. and hope that it also doesn't reach a over-eager LEO that will bust them.
