Mine goes down the kitchen sink, along with the RO (Reverse Osmosis) waste stream that the city puts in my fresh water. You should see some of the drug contaminated urine some people have from all the prescription drugs they take.

Lead is in just about everything we ingest. It is in the old water pipes, brass water fixtures. I don't think a little gray water from tumbling is bad, mine goes down the drain. I'm sure the guys who just dry tumble their brass are more likely to get lead poisoning.

          Toilet, flush twice.
It's what the environments told us to do with antifreeze, works for me.

Three thin streams of water fall into a row of steel sinks at Orange County Water District’s Groundwater Replenishment System facility in Fountain Valley: one crystal clear, one slightly yell…

Not directly toilet to tap but it is injected back into the ground for replenishment.

The biggest problem with flushing stuff down the toilet is the pharma's. That stuff is expensive and hard to remove.

So I was wondering what precautions you guys are using (if any) to not touch the water with your bare hands, and how are you disposing of it of the dirty water?
              Down my deepsink drain.

Why? I dry tumble with the lid on. Dust stays contained.

How do you separate the brass and media?

I use the frankford media separator - the rotating one does produce more dust .
To be honest , dust has nothing to do with weather I sonic , tumble or rotate .

Naturally I use a media separator, Dillons. And I separate outside to avoid any dust accumulating indoors. Hold breath while cranking the basket handle. Wash hands after handling everything, as one should with any firearms stuff.

However, the poster claimed that dry tumblers are more likely to get lead poisoning. I really doubt the odds are that much higher.

PS: we are so far below the lead content that has EVER been shown to do harm, it isn't funny, but you just keep letting the politicians control your life with their never-ending scare tactics or read 1984.
Do you know how the CDC sets the lead standard? They blood test a bunch of children and determine what lead content 2.5% of the children are at or over and THAT becomes their new lead target. No talk about harm or anything else.
They can control the target forever, in increasingly smaller increments, and can be seen "doing something."
^^^This. Nevermind all the other crap that's competing to kill us. Let's face it, if you live in southern California, you're about a jillion times more likely to die in a fiery car wreck because some twit in a tesla needs to get somewhere before you and doesn't want to wear down their batteries using turn signals. On that note, when will they finally figure out that hybrid and electric vehicles pose a much greater environmental threat than real cars or shooting? Think about it. Literally hundreds of pounds of (usually) lead-acid batteries. Can't flush that down a toilet... Yeah, i'll take my chances with the dry tumbling.
