Bunny Fart and JHP don't really belong in the same load. Not if you want to get full value from your "bunny farts". Because JHPs are the most expensive bullets you can buy. So why pay for them just to lower recoil, when you know for sure the HPs will never even think about expanding at BF velocities.

I don't think the OP is concerned with his JHPs expanding on impact at the range. He's probably more interested in the increased precision that the JHPs offer.

For bunny farts, I have more success using .38 Long Colt and .38 Short Colt cases and lighter bullets. The Lee manual gives some loads for those using Universal.

What is the lowest you have gone with 158gr SWC's using 700x or Universal (chono speeds)?

Why do you want a 158gr bunny fart load?

If you are going to shoot light loads, use a light bullet. Find something around 100 grains.

Lee 105gr SWC is an AWESOME bullet for this kind of fun. BoLyCa has data for that.

I loaded some 140 wc 2.9 of tg pretty light load. Accurate at 20 yards too.
