primer issues on 9mm

recently picked up a dillon 650 and loading 9mm. i haven't had any problems with priming any cases only about 150 though. the problem i did run into is it didn't seat the primer deep enough. ended up having to adjust the priming pin. not sure if that would help seating it. but double check primer depth is in spec too though.

Thank you I will check that. I did have some do that, I thought it was from a crimp. I did not know you could adjust the priming pin, I am going to have to read up on that.

The dillon super swage 600 has the parts where you can swage 9mm brass. Like most others said NATO marked brass (usually WCC) will have a crimped primer pocket.

Ok I think I have a lot of 9mm that is crimped. So I think I may go get a universal decapping die, and hook up my swage upgrade where the primer seater goes and spend a day swage all my 9mm brass. Now that I think of it, reloading just got more important, with the new ammo purchasing rules next year. So to able to use all I have, I think this may be the best solution. Running it through the machine, should be faster than doing it all on a separate tool or by hand. I did swage 5.56 by hand years ago before my Dillon. But now with the tools I have, "work smarter, not harder"
