Starting out I'm not going to be concerned with slight powder variances. I do believe I'm going to have to watch the length closely, from what I've read the 99 is particular in that department

Odd, considering what you initially asked for.

Not really. I am understanding it all a bit more (I think).

The way I am understanding is the trickler would be to get every last little bit of accuracy for really precision shooting. I am going to be happy with anywhere close to MOA, again I think.

This will likely be an addictive process

It is. You start off saying, look dear, I can save money this way. That goes by the wayside fairly quickly, typically.

Because, really, we're all, somewhere deep inside, about 7 years old, and this is like Legos with explosives. Truly, to be born an American is like hitting the lottery; every day you should wake up and reflect on just how awesome it is.

A trickler, Chrono, and bullet comparator are nice things to have, but are not necessities for producing good, accurate ammo for use in the 100 to 200 yard range.

Any mainstream powder measure (Lee, RCBS, Redding, etc) will throw accurate enough charges to get you under 1 MOA if the rifle is up to it.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!
