    Bass Pro Online check.

On their site you can check which powders they have in stock on the shelf inside the store. For those marked "low quantity" I notice that means 1 or 2 cans. 3 or more is just "in stock". The powders are out there for customers to handle and put in their shopping bags, it isn't behind the counter.

Online you can just click ship to store to avoid all Hazmat and shipping charges.

Their prices are high and they do charge tax, but you can see the price in advance online.

Which bass pro do you go to ? Las Vegas and Rancho Cucamongo both keep powder behind the counter in cabinets.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Just went to San Jose yesterday and the had power and primers on the shelf. They had a good amount of powder but almost no primers.

Some stores (Scheels and Sportsman's Warehouse) have empty jars on the shelf. You have to ask someone whether they have what you want in stock. at Cabelas in Reno, powders are kept behind the gun counter and you can see what they have

San Jose, Manteca have primers, ammo, powder on the shelves where public can pick them up and put them in their bags. Also you can pay for them at any checkout in the stores, not just in the gun department. (I have never seen black powder or replica black powder on the shelves for some reason).

Yeah, paying $36.99 for most powders at the time really made my left nut pucker (if left nuts can do that sort of thing). Let's just say I was cringing and feeling it deep within. That WAS also last year and by last year I mean Christmas 2015...
