    Cheap Bulk 9mm Ammo

Hey all. This is my very first thread of my own at Calguns. I've recently started shooting and will be picking up my S&W Shield 9mm in a few days. I've been going to a local gun range, took lessons, and tried different handguns before settling on this one.

The reason for this post is to figure out how to save money on ammo. I buy a bag of 50 rounds for $20 at the range. I've search this forum for "cheap ammo" posts, and after doing research, I've found a few different options for 9mm. They are:

    1. AMERICAN STEEL - 9MM 115 GR RN NEW: https://www.freedommunitions.com/amm...steel-new.html

    2. 9mm Tulammo 115gr, FMJ Ammo, 1000rd Case: http://www.jgsales.com/9mm-tulammo-1...e.-p-5579.html

    3. LAX Ammunition Factory New 9 MM 115 GR 1500 RDS: https://www.laxammo.com/lax-factory-...man-can-detail

Ammo rules at my local range are:

    1. Semi-jacketed soft or hollow point & exposed lead rounds are not permitted.

    2. Ammunition with cases other than brass are not permitted.

I'm hoping experienced shooters here can point me in the right direction. I don't want to go too cheap where the ammo breaks my gun or get ammo that most ranges won't accept. I just want to be able to go to the range more often. And I don't think I want to get into reloading yet because my whole place is carpeted.

Thanks in advance for all of your replies.

The American Steel and Tula are out. It is a steel case and does not comply with rule number 2

The price difference between cheap and quality ammo in this current market is too slim for me to want to buy cheap ammo. My preference is buy quality 9mm ammo.

I am a big fan of CCI Lawman and Blazer Brass ammo. PMC is good too. When you factor in shipping and handling, you are looking at ~$12.00 a box. I also like Selleer &Bellot mainly because the boxes are so small I can store more in a smaller amount of space

Shop 9mm Luger Ammo at SG Ammo. Largest selection of cheap ammunition for sale online. In stock ammo with fast shipping and bulk discount pricing.

Another for Blazer Brass or Speer Lawman. Good quality American made ammo that fits the rules and is cheap through sgammo our other online stores.

Thank you all for your replies. I'm glad I made this post because I didn't realize that two of the three links I posted were against the rules of my gun range. You guys saved me.

I'm going to give the ammo in the above link a try.

Save your brass and sell it in the reloading section.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Target Sports is good but since you're somewhere in the LA area be careful about ordering because LA City has online ammo restrictions. County does not, but not every mail order shop in the country can differentiate between county & city. An easy method is having it delivered to a UPS store in outlying areas, Burbank, Anaheim, W. Covina etc.

Agreed. I have completed several bulk ammo transactions online from targetsportsusa. I haven't had any problems or delays whatsoever. Highly recommended.
As always, shop around. I have several out of state online retailers in my favorites list that I routinely check. I stock up during sales and use discount/ promo codes, free shipping, etc.

$20.00 for 50 rounds is way to much for probably reloads in a bag.. Blazer brass,, Rem umc 250 packs,, Win white box ect all cheaper at wallys,, dicks,, ect.. Brass cased new ammo... Shop around local if you can't get ammo shipped to your home or business address... SGAmmo a good value and resonable shipping.. Get on their e-mail list.... Cheers..
