I am a very new reloader. Spent a long time reading. Just got the RCBS rock chucker kit and some other add ons. I wanted to get a pound or two to try. I will consider online and check out a few of these places. What is a powder card?

I'm a fan of Varget! If your not able to find some, other powders that are close in burning rate are N140,IMR4895,H4895,RL15.
Sac Valley Shooting Center sells powder and may have Varget.
      Keep it simple!

        Brownells have 1lb containers @ $25.99 each

They currently have a $30 off $275 purchase with Free Shippin, code: L6P

The $30 OFF knocks off the Hazmat fee and the free shipping is a nice bonus.

I was there yesterday and they did not have any Varget. Try H4895 it is easier to find works just as well as Varget.
I have done so much with so little for so long that now I can do almost anything with nothing at all.

Sportsman's had it a couple of months ago.
Then I walked in and it was gone.

Midsouth Shooters has 1lb in stock for $23.77. 8lb is $168.48 - unfortunately it's out of stock.
Placing 8 (1lb) in the cart comes out to $231 with shipping & hazmat.
Waiting for the 8 lb jug to get back in stock would be about $209 w/ shipping and hazmat.

I started using IMR 8208 XBR when Varget started to get difficult to find. I use it mostly in 308, but use it for .223 also.

I have 4 lbs. of Varget that I would trade for H4350 if anyone has. San Jose area. Must be in sealed 1 lb. containers, like my Varget are.

Anybody tried AR Comp? Supposedly right in the Varget burn rate ballpark & supposedly not temp sensitive.

So I am still looking for Varget, but I picked up a pound of IMR 4895 to try. Does anyone have any load data for Hornady 75 grain 223 match? Hornady does not list this powder in their manual.
