    Lee bullet puller

I am starting with reloading. Did not like to wack bullets inside a plastic hammer and have to disassemble it to remove the bullet and do the next.

Bought this bullet puller from Lee. This bullet was well crimped and needs a lot of force to remove when trying to pull it with a pair of plyers.

This makes it very easy :-)

That looks like a Hornady. NOT a Lee. The lock-ring gives it away and last time I checked, Lee did not have a collet puller...

I've read Hornady cam-lock bullet pullers break easy. If it breaks pick up http://www.rcbs.com/Products/Case-Pr...et-Puller.aspx work well. However, I do use a Kinetic bullet puller 90% of the time, they work well too.

          +1

I've been using an RCBS collet puller I got second hand back about 1970. Excellent tool. If I have just a few to do. I use a kinect wham wham hammer hammer unit.

I've never read that, do you have a link to a source/article?

I don't have any issues with my Hornady Cam-Lock, but I've only pulled a couple thousand bullets with it...9mm, .38Spl, .223 so far. It is much easier to adjust and faster to use than the RCBS

Google is your friend. I have read several comments in regard to such myself, and bought the RCBS, it works great.

When I use the kinetic is when I have a smashed primer or something that won't allow it to be inserted into a shell plate.

I looked at it and it was like pot metal, the one I saw was a POS. The RCBS is made out of steel.

EDIT: the handle was pot metal, some type of cheap cast

Odds wise I think the Grip n pull is probably better than most pullers out there, but I have not used it, it just seems better in that it does multiple calibers with the same tool and no adjusting, just grip and drop the ram...

The handle is cut from a 3mm thick steel sheet

I don't see that happening, given how easy it pulls the bullets. Very litte force is needed when properly adjusted.
