    G20 10mm with Hard Cast?

Anyone out there have any issues with the G20 stock [polygonal] barrel and hard cast ammo?

Specifically double tap or underwood hard cast. Thanks in advance!

I think Hickok 45 has a video about this very topic.

I have friends who have reloaded with lead with the Glock 40... for years...

They clean the barrel to remove lead fowling every few hundred rounds and have not had any issues....

I believe the pressure spike is more based upon build up that the deformation of the projectile to fit either the lands and grooves or the poly shape...

I wouldn't hesitate to load hardcast for 4 legged defense. I would load a few to test and a few more for trail time.

I just wouldn't load a bunch and go out shooting for the day with just the hardcast.

If Underwood says their ammo is ok to shoot in Glocks I would assume they know what they are talking about, but you can call them if you have any questions.

Generally Hardcast Lead with a Brinell Hardness of #15 is not going to shed lead in Glock factory barrels. Double tap for instance is #16.

You want to avoid "swagged" lead bullets that are Brinell #4 (plain lead) up to
12 or 13......these can really shed lead even in Rifled barrels and you want to
Keep an eye out for this.

                  Be well
