Almost finished with my new reloading area

My bench area grew organically. I had no real plan. I started with a woodworking bench from Lowe's which wasn't really cut out for the job. I then built my second one with a kit from 2x4 basics. Because of my schedule (work and a toddler), I was getting out there at about 9pm on Saturday Night to reload what I was going to shoot on Sunday. I'd quit at about 1am, too damned tires to clean up. If you do that nearly every weekend for a few years, you get this:

I finally reached a point where I couldn't really get to the bench to reload without doing some cleaning. That clean spot would eventually be overtaken within a single reloading session. So I decided to plan something else out.

I decided to go with some of Inline Fabrication's products. I also went with Seville furniture. I decided for specific reasons not to build my own, giant, stationary, flat-spot-yearning-for-a-mess. I figured matching furniture might make me more interested in keeping it clean. I considered Gladiator, but it was a bit too much for not much more of a return.

The result (so far... it needs more cleaning) looks like this:

The presses mount on the wall. I can pull down whichever one I want (or the vise) and screw it down. It's easily as rigid then as my old bench was.

My next plan is to route the bench so that the mount is flush, then bolt the bench to the wall studs.

I now have far more storage and under-cabinet lighting on a sensor which flips on with a wave of my hand.

Like I said, I need to do a bit more cleaning, but it's looking promising.

Looks great, I'm pretty jealous. How many loose primers and dead mice did you find cleaning up that mess?

Well... after moving the lesser-used bench, I found this:

Actually, even that was with a bit of cleanup.

No dead mice. Lots of dead bugs. Probably about 381,549,176 primers. Some were likely live.

Lol thats a pretty good haul. It looks like it was worth it but my back is hurting just thinking about cleaning up and moving all that stuff.

I really like the cabinet setup over the benches. They're pretty sharp looking too.

I've been in a lot of pain lately, I'll admit. Mostly the back and shoulders. I screwed up and had to remount one of the cabinets several times. By myself. While leaning over one of the old benches.

It has been a bit of time. I think I started about six weeks ago. So it has been that long since I last was able to really reload. I've been blowing through a lot of .22 lately. That's an expensive habit.

There's a red one farther down the line.

Oh yeah, it blended in while the other just stood out like a sore thumb...

But in a garage like that, I would EXPECT to see a red press. Matter of fact, I thought someone ELSE that I have been over to see had loaned you his photos...

                    Only thing missing was bows...

There is a bow in there somewhere. Maybe not pictured.

That sucks man, i've thrown my back out many times moving large, heavy items by myself so i feel your pain.

Lol somehow i missed that dillon the first time i looked at the pics, all i saw was the lee and rcbs in the second pic. You could spend an hour looking through the before photos for all the different reloading kit.

Yeah... there's also another Lee (pro 1000) and two more RCBS single stages elsewhere in boxes.

I need to do some offloading.
