I buy online, totally worth the $28 hazmat plus shipping when you buy bulk, the maxium weight allowed.

Check out natchez, recobstargetshop, or powder valley.

Cabelas usually runs specials with 5 dollar shipping and only 20 dollar hazmat. You usually got to purchase over 99 dollars of stuff but that's easy to do.

Powder Valley had it recently and may still. I bought three jugs, along with a jug of WST to avoid running low in any sort of drought.

        I use 231 for 9mm, and WST for .45

But 231 is the Honda Civic of powder so I like to have it on hand.

WST WAS good stuff, but did they stop making it? IT is harder to find, but WSF is somewhat similar and does VERY good in the 9mm and .45 that I have put it into.

Also, I REALLY like 700-X in .45 I dunno why, but it is a decent powder to use. If I find a good load for CFE-Pistol though- THAT might be a DAMN good powder to use. Lots of zing in a few other loads with it. I am NOT complaining...

Cabellas is very low on powder - no hp38 , h110 , CFE pistol or rifle .
Powder valley has been down a couple of days . Like most of you if I see on a shelf , it goes into basket .

I've used bullseye for 45 forever. Started using it in 9 and found that I love it there too. Power pistol is really good too. Love it in 9 and works well in 45. It's hotter than bullseye which can be good or bad. If you want more pop then it's great. For milder loads without a lot of flash then it so much.

45 is such an easy round to load for as so many powders work great.

Gonna have to give be-86 a try. Seems everyone says good stuff about it.

I also love AA#5 but apparently aliens have confiscated the last of the remaining #5 on the planet. I've got one pound of it stashed away. Saving for a rainy day or democratic presidency.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I use Green Dot for .45, and Green Dot is running significantly (to me) less expensive right now than other powders I use, and then use Unique for the .40s and 9s. Also HP-38 and AA#5 and a few others laying around, but prefer Green Dot and Unique.

I'm currently using Green Dot...bought a 8lb jug when powder wasn't as plentiful. It meters ok, but not as great as HP38. Better than 700x for sure.

Green Dot is excellent for .45 in my experience. So is 700x and HP38/W231. Every so often my RCBS lockout die will catch a light charge with Green Dot through my Hornady Lnl, but it's only every 1 out of around 300-400 rounds or so.

Due to it's flaky nature though, I probably will not be buying any more Green Dot, unless powder gets scarce again.

Power Pistol is loud in 45 and recoils a lot more. Same with Loudshot, I mean Longshot. I wouldn't use those again for .45.

I have CFE Pistol, but I haven't loaded it in .45. Seems a bit too slow according to the burn rate chart. CFE is pretty awesome in 9mm though.
