I believe that you have .45 Colt bullets, .45-70 bullets, I'm not totally sure that those will be safe in a .45 auto.
.45 auto is .451, I wouldn't shoot those out of a quality 1911 for fear of excessive pressure. I'm sure someone else will say it's ok, I however, wouldn't do it.

I'm with you on this one. It's not worth the risk.

A waste of good bullets. Put them up for sale in the for sale Forum. I'll buy them.sigpic

Not only do you possibly have the wrong bullet, but I believe you're supposed to trim the case when you load FTX bullets as well.

If you're loading from the Hornady manuals, they have the product number for the bullet under the load data as well. Just a heads up for next time.Comment

 Hornady 225gr FTX in .45acp

I would just shoot them, as long as your not at the max powder. They will probably shoot like 45acp+p rounds.

Looks like you should be good.

McGuiver, with all due respect sir, shooting straight lead at .452 is fine, put a thick jacket like the FTX has and you are asking for trouble , Glock or no GlocksigpicComment
