What kind of groups do you get at 25 yards with factory ammo? When I shoot at that range with my 1911 I'm usually looking for minute of chest size angle. So I don't measure my groups.

I will say that I like Xtreme bullets. I use them for 9, 45, and 223.

I use xtreme for most all my pistol loads (9, 40, 45 and 10mm) without any trouble. Putting a big assed crimp on the bullet just doesn't work on plated rounds will cause accuracy troubles.

Not really any problems at all. I am an 06 FFL and use the 147 RN exclusively with excellent results out of a variety of weapons. I am also a competitive shooter that has loaded and shot 10K+ in .40 without any issues. I did find though that the briley barrel is a little slower than barsto or STI barrels.

What is your crimp and OAL for 9 and .40?

How hot are you loading them? I loaded some too hot and the plating came off. To check, put your target about 3 yards out. It will be real obvious if you're pushing them too fast. Yes, that will affect accuracy.

Drive them at the same speeds you would a cast bullet and you should be fine.

Standard troubleshooting time.

Try factory ammo, try a different barrel.

Try PC pills...

25 yards = 75 feet. Damn. I typically shoot at 20-30 feet inside and never had any issues with any PC or plated rds, BUT, if you are shooting hot, I would consider moving to PC pills instead of plated, but there is nothing wrong with Xtreme plated projectiles. I have loaded 20k+ of them and never any complaints.

OH, if you put the .429 Plated RN from Xtreme in a .44 mag with 21gr of Enforcer and shoot out of a Compensated Deagle, you will have shrapnel either downrange or possibly back in your face...

I have shot xtreme bullets for a few years and suddenly they did not group with same load data and using different guns. Just bought different brand of jacketed hollow points to try out and if they work I will just use the 10000 xtreme bullets for close up shooting

Different guns? Have you tried slugging the bore of these different guns to see what size the bores actually are? My HK's, for example, are slightly undersize (about .0005" great shooters) and my Beretta's were oversized (about .0025, acceptable accuracy). I can shoot lead or plated in the HK's, no problem. Plated in the Beretta shot ok but lead produced lots of leading and accuracy issues.

Never a problem here and I've shot untold 1000's of them.
