Are SB primers any good?

Hey guys,
So i've noticed the SB primers are significantly cheaper on some websites than the other brands.

Anyone have anything on them? Are they good for typical plinking rounds?

I use small pistol and rifle, they're good enough for me.

If your running standard loads ,I'm sure they are fine.I like to load hot,so I want a strong primer cup ,and I get that with the Rem &7 1/2.
For large rifle Winchester LRP have been doing the job for 20+ years.

I have tried S&B Large Rifle. I have found a lower SD with them than Federal 210, 12 vs 15. My only concern is that I had a few S&B primers pierced by the firing pin. Otherwise they are the same heat range as Federal 210 or CCI BR2.

I have used the S&B large pistol primers, and do not like them. They are/were a very tight fit. Other than that problem they went bang everytime - unlike CCI.

I picked up 30K earlier this year when they where $17/K at Cabela's. I've only loaded a 4-5 thousand so far but, they seem to work fine.

they are "sharper" on the edges and temporarily hang up as they are being seated, they work fine but have to be seated all the way but the herky jerky seating feel sometimes makes that harder to feel them seat, to me is not worth buying them.

I got a case of them on sale...
only 2k throught the 5k lot, but not any issues i recall.

Thank you. I've noticed the same thing but wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not.

They do not work well WHAT SO EVER!! (So cost will be much lower for me to buy them)

I have used 18k of them and all I can say is:

They totally suck.

Please do not buy them if you know what is good for you.

Also, let me know when they go on sale at Cabelas again...
