Do you see it? Is there a convergence with seating and ES that coincides with the best accuracy?
I ask because I may be a bit myoptic in my views. I shoot single shot rifles the majority of the time and rarely venture outside of .005-.020 into the lands from touch, or .005-.020 out from touch. I measure and chase erosion fastidiously so small seating windows don't concern me much. I certainly maybe missing something outside of those windows.
My experience with low es #s has always been with having the powder that barrel likes and being firmly within a powder node then fine tune with "neck tension". Neck tension being turning, bushing size or expanding.
I can say in the current .223 I'm shooting, seating .003- .016 there is no change in es or a noticeable velocity difference. However, the horizontal opens up at .010-.014.
