Sad, very sad. I have only used this Bullet Puller to pullout approximately 25 bullets and it broke on me today. The piece that broke was the piece that screws on and holds the shell by the rim. Has anyone else had this problem with this particular Bullet Puller? What is a good alternative to the Dillon Bullet Puller?

SOMETHING SOFT
, dude I was banging it on the concrete in my garage
The instructions did not say to bang it in something soft
Are you sure it is supposed to be banged on something soft?

I use the end of a 2x4. Place one end against the garage floor, and hammer on the other end.

maybe its th angle you are hammering at?
just found it
I guess it doesnt matter where you hit, but if its a plastic one, i think it would be better to use it on wood so it doesnt crack the plastic.2 HANDGUNS STOLEN! 1 RECOVERED READ HERE

are those covered by the standard Dillon warranty since they are supposed to be used like a hammer?Jack

These kenetic pullers are supppose to be use by a 'snap' of the wrist.. not full hammer blows... That said, I use the flat portion of my vise.. yes metal... and have used the RCBS and Redding pullers and I only broke my RCBS puller last year after 25yrs of use....'Just Don't Point, Squint, and Laugh! Good idea, I think that I will also use a nice piece of firm wood to do it.
Flack, it sucks, now it seems that my reloading operation has come to a dramatic halt because of that.
Man, I am trying but I have been working out and lifting weights and my muscles are growing. LOL.
I was pulling .223 bullets that I had messed up. I only have about 33 to pull out of maybe 3k that I have reloaded already, so not that bad for a newbie reloader..
I guess we will find out tomorrow. The only piece that broke off was the piece that you screw on that has the universal shell holder. I will give them a call tomorrow. I guess I did hit it too hard because I was not able to find all the lil pieces. LOL.Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'.
