    Help woth loadmaster indexing

bought a used loadmaster from another guy on here, sorta feel like he knowingly sold me his problems with the press, unfortunately I already left him feedback.
Anyways, there seems to be a notch along the frame where the flipper indexing happens, is this factory ? Seem to be weird for little plastic piece to make that sort of wear.
Also that piece that slides on the notch in the frame has alot of wear , I'm guessing I need to replace that? How often do those go bad, seems like a cheap part for such an important role it plays. Anyone know the Lee part number? This is the piece that screws into the indexing rod. How long should that piece last? Thanks
...appreciate the advice, here are some pictures, I have inserted the index rod as instructed , several ways actually and flipper thing comes off the guide on frame.

Photos man... They mean a world of difference here. Hey that guy was not in SD was he? Just curious...

I will take a stab. On the Loadmaster, the indexing rod (it needs to be in the correct way, with the bevel facing AWAY from the center of the plate) holds the flipper and it goes up and at the top it hits a bump and sticks inwards a bit, then on the way down it rides the frame and catches on a little lip about 1/4 way down or so and as it goes down the frame, it rides that lip at an angle and all that is happening is the indexing rod is getting pulled out, once it hits near the bottom it swings outwards a bit and the handle pushes it back in, but it also catches under the plate and indexes the press to move everything forward one step. Then repeat as you can.

In order for it to work PROPERLY the flipper needs to ride TIGHT up against the frame on the way up.
The O-ring needs to be in good condition on the center nut, the center nut needs to be semi-tight, and the indexing pawl/ejector needs to be in good condition.

The ejector/pawl can be bent but once you gotta start bending it all over the place it is time for a new one, go spend $10 and get 3 of them...

The indexing rod has a flipper that is threaded on at the end. If you tighten it too much, it makes the shell plate VERY tight and if you loosen it too much the shell plate gets a lot of play and slop in it. If it is off by too much, you will fail to index properly all of the time. It also only rides one way, so be careful it is not upside down. You can tell which side is the top or bottom because the bottom has a portion cut out so that it can glide down the lip on the frame.

Excessive wear happens when things are set incorrectly and get too tight and people grind down the lip and plastic part instead of trying to figure out why it is so tight. We all tinker with things, but the Loadmaster is one press that you need to learn inside and out before you tinker. Some folks get it, take it apart to clean it and OOPS. Then it is out of spec and needs to be reset and instead of resetting it, they sell it off...

    Photos help...

LOAD MASTER INDEX FLIPPER, Part #LM3244, $2.00

LOAD MASTER INDEXER, Part #LM3243, $3.00

Titan Reloading is a good place to order from.

I've reloaded 10,000 rounds without changing these parts.

Here is a good link to view. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dxfv...6&feature=plcp

I have added some pictures ,,,,, I seen some threads that say the notch on the frame is factory, hard to imagine a plastic piece causing that sort of wear but I guess with enough force anything is possible .

That notch is not a big deal.
Both my presses have it too and I grease it per the instructions.
            Get a new index flipper.
The index rod looks pretty normal, but for the price, you may as well have one on hand as well.
            Parts Lumpy listed above.
From there, watch youtube vidoes on setup and get it dialed in.
Here is a great thread that will help you get it running.....

Lumpy8 is right - go to titan . Most of time I but 2 - put in basket , check shipping , go back and make it 2 , shipping is generally the same .
Ask for a catalog on Lee stuff .

DO NOT JUST BUY THE ROD AND FLIPPER!

FIRST, contact Lee and tell them that you have issues and you need to know how to adjust your flipper, they might just send you a new one. and it will be calibrated from the factory.

There is a bevel on one corner/edge and it should be facing AWAY and also be VERTICAL under the shell plate, the Lee manual and Lee videos show you that on their website.

Run some tetra grease on that little lip that is sticking out and inside that notch too, but that notch looks about normal. They are cut like that on the bottom so the angles allow it to slide down and out.

There is a new press being developed, hopefully it will be the Dillon killer we have been waiting for, I think it might also be almost as much in price too... Okay, who we kidding, it might only be $350 fully assembled... This is PURE speculation that I got from mah arse.

Just about any lube you put on it will be a dust / dirt magnet .
Generally when we come back from range , we pop out old primers , clean primer pockets , throw casings into tumbler - clean guns and use oily patches to wipe down parts on press . Then start the reloading process .

That notch is normal. That flipper will do that to the press after thousands of rounds. Get a new flipper, lube up that notch and align the the turret and you'll be all set. You align the turret by loosening the 7/16 nut at the bottom of the press. Good luck.
