The primer is loaded backwards, happens sometimes. Just make sure the primers are in the right orientation when loading into whatever system you're using.

Looks like the primer is in there backwards. Have done that myself. Never got a factory round like that.

Yep.. Sometimes that happens. That's why I inspect every primer after loading.

Have one sitting on my desk right now from a 223 run I did last weekend with my progressive press.

Great advice and yeah primer is in backwards. I haven't had one yet but I can see it happening.

It happens to the best of us.
I have 3 of them sitting on my bench right now. I like to keep little reminders of the mistakes.

Yeah, just turn the bullet around and you're good to go.

I'm assuming that is a reload. Right? I've never managed to get one in backwards. Other issues, but not that. Quality control is important.

Its funny, I was assuming it was a factory load, one of those Federal Walmart bulk specials.

I have had a few factory rounds come in like the above (usually the white box kind of quality level) and a few I have done myself when I wasn't paying close enough attention when loading. None of my reloads ever made it to the magazine, only factory ones.

It is a good reminder to really look at your ammo, most importantly when you are loading for serious purpose.

Yep, I've done it on a progressive. My QC caught it before it became a FTF.
