RCBS Chargemaster 1500 combo for $300

I recently got an email from Midway stating that the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 combo is on sale for $300 plus an additional $75 off from the RCBS rebate. I last looked at the Chargemaster about a year ago and the price was $500ish at the time. Of course I would like to have one but I have been fine without it. For a final price of $225 it seems like a no brainer. I just find it a bit odd that the discount is so steep. Does anyone know if this model is being phased out and discontinued, hence the cheap price?

I bought one from Natchez last year for $280 with a $50 rebate. They no longer repair them, just exchange them during the warranty period. After that, you're on your own.

Yep, that's the discount that got me to buy the Chargemaster about 3.5 years ago.

Amazon and Cabela's are also $300 - $75 rebate. Cabela's has had it for $300 off and on for a while. I've even seen it dip down to $280ish but then you won't get the full $75 rebate if it isn't $300.

If you were fortunate enough to jump on those discounted Cabela's gift cards on ebay you could have saved another 15%. And use whatever cash back site you choose for additional savings on top of all that.

If you work it just right you can get it for around $175 net price after all rebates/gift cards/cash back.

I would say yes for the most part. Best for batch runs when accuracy in powder weight is a concern. Progressive and turret presses usually use a powder drop as a stage.

You could still use the charge master in these systems but you will have to use a funnel and charging die and drop powder by hand before moving on to the next stage.

Others may have better ideas as I'm also still pretty new to reloading but that is my understanding of how you would use this charge master.

              That's a good deal.

Never heard of it being phase out. Maybe, somebody does.

              VIP pricing is at $305.37.
