    Powders/Primers in stock thread...

Dunno what happened to the last one. Maybe we can populate this one since it seems like a good idea.

    Right now Powder Valley Inc

Has the following powders in stock:

    Pistol powders:
    WST .......... 1, 4, 8 lb .......... $20/$72/$138
    WSF .......... 1, 4, 8 lb .......... $20/$72/$139

    HP-38 .......... 1, 8 lb .......... $19/$135
    HS-6 .......... 1, 8 lb .......... $21/$152
    CFE Pistol .......... 1 & 8 lb .......... $19/$134
    700-X .......... 14oz, 4, 8 lb .......... $16/$66/$123 .......... <==== Awesome all around pistol powder for .45, and well, just about everything...

    Deagle powders (good 44 mag):
    H-110 .......... 1 & 8 lb .......... $21/$139
    300-MP .......... 1 & 8 lb .......... $19/$131
    Accurate #9 .......... 1 & 8 lb .......... $21/$150

Isn't powder in stock pretty much everywhere? Recobs and Grafs (my two go to sites) are plenty stocked up...Recobs is short on LPP though.

Maybe. But aint it nice to have a thread again where you can come and post a great deal on powder that may or may not be in higher demand?

Makes it easier to come to one thread then to 8 different websites looking for stuff.

Tagged. Just did a Powder Valley order. Of course feel I should have added more powder.

Ditto on PowderValleyInc, Varget & Primers were in stock, also, pretty good price on their bulk 77gr 223 "factory seconds" under the Specials tab.

              Hi Stilly.

just curious -- why would you go with 700-X as a pistol powder when Win 231, HP38, Titegroup, CFE Pistol, etc are all available?

Don't get me wrong, I really like 700-X, but as a shotgun powder. For pistols it seems to be more difficult to use -- measures poorly, static laden, etc. Why not use a good ball powder like Win231 which really is an all around pistol powder?

Full transparency -- as a shotgun reloader I get annoyed when all of the pistol guys buy 700-X. stick to your pistol powder dammit! but my question still stands... seems like the others would be superior pistol powders over 700-X

Because 700-x is cheaper and it works VERY nicely in .45 ACP. For me, I like CHEAPER. I LOVED hp-38 but after that shortage, and then it left adn did not return for a long time, no note no nothing, I found other powders that were NICE. 700-x meters very well in the LNL droppers with the pistol rotors in place, it also meters very nicely in the Uniflow QC with the pistol tubes.

Another thing too is that it seems that although I DO love me some W231/HP-38, I have found others powders that cost less and give about the same performance. Yes my selection is heavily biased and not very normal, and honestly, if you have the chance, buy as much of the hp-38/w231 as you can, but the 700-x is a sleeper powder in my book. And I LOVE how it feels with about 4.2gr under a 200gr swc in the .45...

                    Hmmm. I see they have

Bullseye 1 lb bottles for $21

                    H-110 8 LB for $149
                    700-x 8lb is going for $131

You know, Powder Valley INC is pretty hard to beat most of the time.

I do not see any sales going on reloading stuff.

Also faster burning powder with heavier bullets = less muzzle flip.

I run 147gr with bullseye and trie Clays. Light shooting and accurate.

Love to get some Solo 1000 but never in stock.

700x is great for 45 ACP, but I didn't find the metering that great through my RCBS uniflow with pistol insert. Lots of chunky throws.

Do yourself a favor, use Chrome and install the Visual Ping add on. It'll notify you in your browser if a page changes ie (if a buy button appears/disappears, sold out text shows up, etc)

It really helped me when powders were kinda scarce. Honestly, I looked at the original powders in stock thread daily, but after using visual ping, there was no need....Unless you like refreshing the thread constantly for updates

My most accurate .38 spl target loads use 700-X. Lots of love for 700-X
