    Ammo Bros or Turners

I'm looking at picking up some pistol and slugs for a match. .40cal and 12gauge #7.5 or #8 low base, and some slugs.

I've only had experiences with Turners outdoorsman. How are the prices
compared to Ammo Bros. Turners is convenient because it's local. If Ammo
Bro's are truly "wholesale", I'd be willing to fight the fwy's.

    Thanks

I hardly ever buy ammo from Turners anymore. Just about everything is overpriced. I will look at the ammo on sale, but that's about it. Ammo Bros is cheaper than Turners and they have black rifles and cool stuff like that.

But if you're just looking for cheap factory ammo, it's tough to beat Wal-Mart. If you're in Redondo, you'll probably find Lakewood the closest Wally World with ammo. Ammo Bros is on the way, so you might as well stop there as well. Get somebody to go with you and you can take the carpool lane of the 105 to the 605.

Good call on Wal-mart. I went to the one on 190th street in Torrance and they told me they don't sell ammo. What a bummer. Going to call Ammo Bro's for stock tomorrow.
      Thanks for the tip!

Just a friendly tip. Wally-Mart on Carson @ LB Town Center (commonly confused as lakewood) does not sell ammo of any kind.

Ammo Bros all the way. You will only find it cheaper sometimes at gun shows or if someone is having a sale. If you find it cheaper, Ammo Bros will usually beat the price!!!

Ammo bros for sure, not even a close call.

I've had no experience with Ammo Bros, though I've heard good things.

The WalMart on Carson and Paramount in Lakewood is very convenient. It used to be well stocked, till the recent run on supply. Last sunday half of the shelf was cleared, and they even had an apology note about the political climate.

Tonyb98, sorry about your experience with one of our guys. Please be sure to let Dustin and Darrin, the owners, know about it. Not to make an excuse for what happened but we are under a ATF audit and that always adds a little stress to the shop.
As far as not having anything, I'll agree with you that our shelves are a bit bare. That said we have some AR, saigas in 308, plenty of bolt actions, some ruger 10/22s, some sig guns, a few glocks, 1911s, and some nice revolvers.

we keep a decent stock of ammo and some specialty ammo. however calibers like 308 in cheap surplus have not been available for a while.

If you are looking for something in particular let us know, we have a good sense of what's available at the distributors, which at this time have a very thin inventory as well. And if we don't have it or can't get it for you we'll point you in a direction where you might find it even if that means sending business to one our competitors.

Again talk to Darrin or Dustin and let them know about your experience.

                            Thank,

                            Francisco

Ya i had the same experience aswell .I did not mind them being low on product, but i did mind the attitude ,wanted to rip that guy from behind the counter and slap him ,and I'am very capable of doing that.

I will still shop there every so often, because some of the other guys are cool!

Oh my issiue with one of their guys was around September 08,so I don't think the ATF audit had any think to do with it!

"I will not buy ammo from the private ammo sellers,it only encourages them to keep buying ,and reselling the ammo they bought from WAL-MART at 2-3 times what they bought it for"!
