If they hired a bunch of temps to meet the spike in demand, then you'd have inexperienced people which then again will cause poor customer service.
When it comes to customer service during a spike in demand (probably the biggest spike in demand they have ever seen) They're really in a no-win situation, aren't they?Last edited by AaronHorrocks; 01-08-2009, 2:05 PM.Originally posted by nickAre there any times when you don't have a loaded firearm within reach?Originally posted by M. Who are you comparing them to? On my most recent purchase, I checked Grafs and Wideners and Midway beat both of them plus they had most of the items in stock. I was purchasing equipment rather than supplies so maybe that is what is different.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment

I never had a problem with them.. Also I made sure what I needed was in stock so I wont be waiting..
Was your stuff in stock?Comment

Yep. And they screwed up my order. Sent me the wrong stuff. A ordered a #1 shell plate, got a #5. Ordered 308 dies, got just a crimp die. Was charged for a set. It looked like a monkey had pooped on it. The package was open. There were bits of rust and something sticky on the shell plate. I couldn't make up this stuff even if I wanted to. I couldn't believe it. Do they store their products in a barn or something?Last edited by nobs11; 01-08-2009, 11:57 PM.Comment

I just placed an order with Grafs a few days ago for some 6mmBR related items. Here's a comparison of a few items I just ordered:
Forster 6mmBR Ultra Micrometer Seater Die
Grafs: $46.99
Midway: $59.99
REDDING 6MM BR REM TYPE S FULL BUSHING DIE
Grafs: $36.19
Midway: $45.99
REDDING BUSHING .267 TITANIUM COATED BUSHING
Grafs: $16.79
Midway: $19.99
Sierra MatchKing Bullets 243 Caliber, 6mm (243 Diameter) 107 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail Box of 500
Grafs: $108.99
Midway: $120.49
NOTE: Both prices are pulled from each vendor's dealer pricing list.
As you can see, Grafs is far cheaper. I've always told people to use Grafs since they have the better prices for reloading equipment and components.
And for dealers, Graf's uses fair shipping too. They don't tell you shipping on checkout because they actually charge you the actual freight once they package it all up, as opposed to Midway, that uses a calculator in their system that over compensates shipping costs. For non-dealers, Grafs only charges a flat rate handling fee ($4.50), with free shipping.Last edited by ocabj; 01-10-2009, 7:37 AM.

RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Single Stage Press Master Kit

Midway is best if you stick to their sale items. What you have to watch with them is backorder items. If you place an order and some of it is backordered you get 2 shipping charges or more. They ship the items as they come is and each is a new shipping charge. I have paid $10 shipping for a $10-$20 item more than once.
