Placed an order on 12/13/08. Still "processing."

No response from customer service. Not accepting phone calls due to high volume. What the heck kind of service is this?

If you don't have the staff to handle volume, at least don't accept orders you can't fulfill so that people can order from other vendors who can and get on with their lives. Business 101.

Grafs is wayyy better. Never buying from Wideners again.

I've always had great results with them. But then again, I've never ordered when the rush was on.

The front page pretty clearly sums up the status. They're swamped. You'll be billed at the time of order. Shipping is way behind.

My order was placed way before what they claim their current status is. They are saying that they are filling orders placed on 12/23. Mine was placed 10 days before that. Seems to have gotten "lost."

Shoddy operation. Never accept orders unless you can fill them.

they are not good when there is panic buying

about a year ago when the cmp released a bunch of carbines

i placed an order for 1000 pulled surplus .30 110 fmj
it was $60 and they had 600 lots in stock

the next day they were down to 200 then the next day 75 and i was a bit worried it took about a month to get them i wish i ordered more but at the time they had many in stock
and i wanted to check them out before buying more

they had light pull marks and looked slightly tarnished out of the tumbler they looked brand new

but it was too late they were out

infact the whole country ran out of surplus pulled 30 carbine bullets that week

my order from 12/26 is still "processing" , I never got a email or anything confirming the order. But I have been charged. I ordered some ammo, so hopefully sometime this month they get caught up.

I too have ordered from Widener's in the past and always had good luck, But with the current volumes I figure they are as swamped as everyone is saying.. that being said.. even good suppliers have bad things happen now and then. But then there are lots of other suppliers if you've had a bad experience with one of the others.

It's not just Widners. I submitted a group buy order to Grafs over a month ago and still haven't received pricing in spite of emails and phone calls. And this is for an order worth almost $5k....

I already ordered tons of ammo before the election so im ok on ammo.
you are lucky mecam, I ordered on 12/12 and it didnt ship till this past weekend, expecting it friday.

You guys must have horrible luck if you have bad service with Grafs. I put an order in yesterday morning and immediately needed to modify the order to swap an item so I emailed them literally 2 mins after I put in my order. Then 5 mins later I get a call from Grafs to confirm the change on the order was received.

Buy from Midway. I placed an order before Christmas and it was packaged and shipped the same day! I'm still waiting for an order from Wideners (Midway was out of stock on a couple items).

Midway's prices (even their dealer prices) are way too high compared to other vendors non-dealer prices.

Like everyone else, they are swamped. Try emailing them instead of trying to call. I get very good results when I have emailed them. VERY good results.
