Here is the fix for the AR

Note: The wedge shaped foam was placed high so you can see the Velcro tab on the bump. The female part of the Velcro is on the foam. Note there is Velcro on underside of carry handle for spares in case the one you are using comes off or you can remove it and store it under handle when you are not shooting.

You can also get two part expoxy putty (black looks better) and mold a right angle on the front of the bump.

DEGREASE THE BUMP PRIOR TO DOING ANYTHING SO THE FIX WILL STICK TO THE BUMP I have a molded one that has been on for years. No pretty but works great and puts brass at 1:00-2:00 with no dents.
yeah thanks i was thinking about putting electrical tape but this is more cushion lol thanks.

P.S. that brass would be fire sized for your gun if it passes muster after.
Oh, man - I've thought about that too - but I've got neighbors that may think I am bringing down the next cultural revolution on them - but I think I may try this...

If you put the muzzle into a towel even you won't hear it clearly, much less anyone outside the garage when the doors are closed.
