Dents on brass

Fire forming vs just tossing it.... -
The one on the right doesn't look much better-especially on the left end of the crease. IIWM, I'd junk these-no sense in risking a catastrophic event over a 20 cent piece of brass,.....
And, if I bought these from some "on-line seller", I think I'd be squawking at them for shipping this.....Tire kickers gonna kick,
Nose pickers gonna pick

For nothing? Not really you learned a lesson.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

The ones that have the internal crease I'd throw out for sure . How ever I do keep/have a group/lot of brass that I save that is questionable but likely could be used if the SHTF . They are separate and marked well to be sure they don't get put back into the rotation .
Just a thought because some of them look more like a dent rather then a crease .Tolerate
allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.
Anyone else find it sad that those who preach tolerance CAN'T allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that they do not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.
I write almost everything in a jovial manner regardless of content . If that's not how you took it please try again

That is a minor dent and I'd reload those without any worries. There is a shadow that makes the brass look "cut" in the photo because they are so clean.Comment

Good post
I agree... and there is much to learn.
Many years ago I got a bunch of pistol brass from my local range when I told them I just started reloading...
They gave me almost a full 5 gallon buckets worth of brass... the amount of knowledge I gaining from cleaning, sorting, and inspecting all that brass by hand was pretty valuable. I learned way more than I ever thought I could learn from a bucket of brass...
No time spent in the reloading room is wasted OP, all this stuff puts you on the road to being a better ammo-smith.ExtremeXComment

You certainly have the brass cleaning process down. Those are impressive! My factory ammo isn't that shiny.Comment

That area is fully supported by chamber wall, I'm not sure I would care, but I am wondering what is causing the dent.Only slaves don't need guns

Collect a bunch and sell the brass for scrap. It's what I do with .40 range pickup I don't use.

I would prime the questionable brass, stab a potato with the projectile end, chamber round, and fire. I would then reinspect the brass. This can be done in your city garage if you put the muzzle in a folded towel to suppress the noise.
P.S. that brass would be fire sized for your gun if it passes muster after.Originally posted by smashycrashyDamn, you are right, I suckOriginally posted by OleCussI despise Trump.Comment
