    My Very First Reload

I tried my very first reload and this is how it came out. Has anybody done this before? Would it be safe for me to try to pull the bullet out with a bullet puller?

    Thanks.

Adjust the die out so that it isn't even touching the bullet when platform is fully raised. Then pull the handle and slowly tighten the die, little bits at a time. This way, you never wind up with an over seated round.

I don't like to pull bullets if I don't have to.

You're not too great at photography either.. Maybe give up on reloading and concentrate on cooking (you'll kill less people that way). You get an A+ for effort though.

Nothing wrong with pulling that bullet, resizing the case and trying again. Back the seating plug on that die waaaaaaay out before you try again though. It also looks like you may have crushed the case. Which means the seating die itself, is adjusted too low as well.

Looks like it's wearing a turtleneck.

                No worries OP. It's a do-over.

That is a perfect example of learning by "Experience"

That is when the test is given before the lesion.

Tip for the day: It would probably help to read the instructions with the die and/or in one or two reloading manuals so you do not make such large mistakes
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Done it, don't let that stop you, I like to back my dies way off and work down to oal. I'm over in Marina if you want some help, I just started reloading this year I've done 4 different calibers so far and would be happy to share what I've learned so far.

Not sure there is enough for bullet puller . Take to gun store - do you have a bullet puller that will pull this ? Show me and I will buy it .
Was this range brass ? It could be from a hot load and or your sizing die is adjusted wrong . Then again - it could be seating die or a combination of all .
You did the right thing by asking and not assuming you knew everything .

Congrats on the first round you have ever made. Put it on a shelf as an example of what you don't want to do again (I have one like that myself just not so extreme). Adjust your dies according to the instruction and try again.
