    stripper clips

Just loaded some 223, and am in the process of loading them into stripper clips. It seems to take quite a bit of force to slide them into the clip. Is this the way they should feed into the clip, or should they slide easily into it. If they are supposed to just glide in easily, what can I do to make this happen. Thanks for any info.

I dunno what stripper clips you have but the ones that I had were two pieces of metal, aluminum or steel on the bottom with a thin brass liner and little tabs on each end. Once the tab is bent BACKWARDS enough to allow the round to slide onto the clip, they moved back and forth very easily. I believe they needed to be easily slid back and forth for the spoons that get attached to the mags and then you simply put the stripper clip on top, feed it in and press 10 rds into the magazine. Rinse and repeat till the mag was filled.

Is your inner liner dirty or something?
