To use or not to use...

One of my acquaintances hooked me up with a couple boxes of these primers.
He couldn`t tell how old they were but the box looks really retro. What do you guys think?

Looks 50'ish.Save as a collectible, plenty of primers on the market to use.

Yeah I got plenty to use. I`m just curious if this would still be safe, theoretically speaking.

As long has they haven't been introduced to too much moisture over the years they should be fine

I was on CCI website .They have early Speer history regarding primers.
For the use of the primers ,if they are in good condition ,with no signs of corrosion they are probably safe to use,but data that is used now is geared for current production. They would look real nice on a shelf with other old stuff collecting dust.

At worst, they simply wouldn't detonate so no danger, unless you didn't wait for a hangfire. They probably would work okay but I agree with the others, why not put them on display in your gun area? Primers are the cheapest they have been for years right now (did you score any of the S&Bs from Cabelas for $17.99 per 1K?) Old reloading gear and components are very cool looking, I may make a display once my reloading area is finished.

The box is very plain as far as being a decorative bench item.

They were made to shoot so I vote for loading them up.

                  Use them. They look good.
If you do not want them I will take them.

Use them. Or I would gladly relieve you of them. Turns out my new powder storage unit holds much more than 50 lbs of powder, so now I am seeing how many primers I can dump in there too...
