I am sorry to hear that you bought a Sig P-238. I had to choose between that and a G42 so I went the G42 route and was VERY happy that I did.

Will you be a little more specific in terms of what kinds of .380 recipes you are looking for?

Also, are you casting your own too? Plan on casting? I heard that little Lee 105gr SWC is great to use in .38/.357/9mm/.380...

What powders do you have? Philips wholesale has a **** TON METRIC BARGE STORAGE LOCKER of powders currently... Oh, and his prices are pretty good too. But I dunno who Philip is, I have always only seen a guy named Richard.
7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

Need GOOD SS pins to clean your brass? Try the new and improved model...

And remember- 99.9% of the lawyers ruin it for the other .1%...

Aww Stilly, I appreciate the sentiment and all, but you need not feel sorry for me.

        There were 2 reasons I didn't consider a G42.

        1. It's fugly

        2. It's a Glock

All joking aside, I never have cared for Glocks since day one.

But, I do wish you happy shooting with your new pistol.

I do not cast my own. The only pistol powder I have on hand right now is Bullseye.
I do have some 700x I tried in my .45 ACP loads one time. The only other powders are a bunch of 4064, 4895, and Varget.

        Jack

p.s. thanks for the heads up on Philips wholesale.

I have a P238 Rosewood that I plan on reloading for. I will be using Winchester 231 or HP38 (same powder) (because I have some and it works well in all of my other pistol calibers - 9, .40 and .45) The only downside I can see is that it has a very narrow range according to Hodgdon's load data http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol. Fortunately, it meters well.

I also *ahem* happen to know someone *ahem* who has some for sale at better prices than Phillips. *cough* *cough*

2.9-3.2gr of 231 with 100gr played Berrys bullets works well for me.

Yeah, I wanted a .380 because it was CUTE, like a baby-9 but since I was gonna get a CUTE gun, I wanted a PUG-CUTE so I got a Microeagle since it was so ugly it was cute. But it is all over the place with that LONG 2" sight length or whatever it is so I grabbed a bersa thunder and I was not thrilled, but it was on sale, and it key-holed like a mother so I kept looking and THEN I held the G42 and a Sig P238 and a mosquito and I was like, DAMN NIGGA! So I got one and yes it IS a glock and I aint thrilled about it, but they do NOT make very many decent .380s and so far, the G42 has been pretty spiffy and nice to shoot as well as easy to aim and accurate. Oh and mags are not expensive either. Get them on sale for around $15-$18 from time to time.

OH OH- Browning JUST came out with a 1911-.380 and it looked HELLA cool, AND it had a long sight length too (4-5") so maybe it will be okay.

**** SIG. **** them in the ear till they bleed. Lieing ****ers! How ****ing long has it been since they came out with the P320 and where the hell are all of these calibers that they promised you can change over to? ****ing *******s. **** them and their hype. That is all they do. I swear to a god that I do NOT believe in that they have a shorter attention span than ME. They hyped up all the P320 and how cool it was and how it was revolutionary and- HEY, THOSE SLAP-DICKS never even responded to my e-mail 2 weeks ago now that I think of it. Mother****er! Yeah so it was SOOOO revolutionary and awesome and I was like, YEAH GO SIG!

DAMN YOU SIG! DAMN YOU TO HELL! I COULD HAVE HAD A WITNESS ELITE! I WASTE ME SSE ON YOUR DAMN P320! DAMN YOU!

                  Love Lee, HATE SIG!.

                  *******s.

So anyways, I will look for some .380 load data around the 100gr mark. I think to save and have the most vesatility though you might wanna consider casting for .380 or at least buy some unlubed/unsized .355/.356 lead tips and PC them (or get them PCd) and play around with it...

                    100gr Xtreme RNFP

                    3.0 Titegroup

                    3.1 HP-38

Both ran my CZ-83 well and should be no problem with the P238.

                    I'll add chronograph data tomorrow.
