    Lee safety prime replacement spring

I've e-mailed Lee already about this since I can't get through by phone. Looking for a replacement spring for the safety prime, but not the U shaped spring. I need the internal coil spring.

They don't offer it for sale and my only other option is buying a new complete arm which is around $15 with shipping. I figure it's a long shot, but maybe somebody knows or a common spring replacement or has a broken safety prime lying around with a spare spring?

    You mean this one?

    Also found in this page?

Titan reloading and FS reloading are your best friends when it comes to parts for Lee.

I did not check Titan, I will let you do that. Hope it helped.

Hopefully that is the correct spring although it looks quite different from the springs that came in my unit. Mine are very thin and have a much looser coil but I'd imagine this is it. I'm not in a terrible hurry so I'll hold out and see if Lee is feeling generous. Hard to justify $10 shipping for a .50 spring. Thanks for the links.

By all means send an e-mail to Lee through their website.
Worst case- go to Titan reloading, they have cheaper shipping rates usually.

There is also another spring that said it was .030 or something. I saw it at the Titan reloading page. I am not sure where it goes though. Their parts list breakdown is a bit different than FSreloading.

You can also get the part number if you are certain of it and then go look for it online. Fleabay works sometimes.

          Lee's response:

          Hey Daniel,
The parts are not available individually and you would need to purchase the trigger assemblies.

          Sincerely,
          Raquel

I'll go with Titan and just order both springs to be safe.

Wow. That is totally different from the Lee that I have dealt with.

Hmm. Ask for Peter. If Lee parts break I thought at the most they would charge you HALF of what the cost for a new one was. - At the most. For me, I just reported this or that and they sent me things. At least with the loadmaster.

How many rounds do you have on your safety prime? This is the one that connects to the turret right?

LP is white and SP is black IIRC. ANd the spring is inside the white or black finger thingy that holds the primers and you actually press onto the primer cup that comes up with the ram on the turret or whatever press?

Yeah odd. Raquel must be new.

Had a bit of back and forth until somebody realized there is in fact another spring in the safety prime. I sent a photo of the whole arm completely disassembled. Stopped getting responses so I figured it was a lost cause. Just got an e-mail today from Lee with a receipt for the "plunger spring" they are sending me. That's more like the Lee we know and love.
