    Portable Reloading Press Stand

Long story short, I needed a portable loading press stand. I was wracking my brain trying to figure something out and lo and behold my better half came to the rescue. She said why not try that grinder stand you've had forever and not even taken out of the box? I hate to admit it, but she had a damn-good idea and it works like a champ. It's a grinder stand that I bought at Harbor Freight Tools the better part of 10 years ago and never used. It stands just shy of 30" tall and is the perfect height for using in my camp chair, or the living room sofa. It's stable, holds the press securely and doesn't wobble around. All I did was drilled two 3/8" holes in it for the mounting bolts and assembled. If you're in need of a portable reloading set up, here it is.

    Me too!

That will work great. Steady and portable too.

I have the same thing with a RCBS jr press, Uniflow measure and a cheap Lee press all mounted around the top.

Using this set up I was able to free myself from a bench and use a Steel case desk for everything else.

I clamped on a circular light with magnifier also from Harbor Freight.

        stand

I've never had a problem using this stand for everything. Just align the leg below the press for stability.

If used in the home plywood could be attached to the bottom to protect carpet or wood flooring.

Make the plywood bigger for a larger footprint if needed.

          LoL.

My friend has one of those. He red-headed the feet to the floor, then drilled and tapped the collar for the top part and he will loosen a bolt and spin the thing whichever way he wants and that is his reloading bench.

If you want a rock solid mount on top though, drill and tap that collar...

Need GOOD SS pins to clean your brass? Try the new and improved model...

I sized 100+ 30-06 cases without a problem. Use your off hand to help steady it. It doesn't take much as the press and pedestal weigh close to 30 pounds.
