In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

RCBS 10-10, mine's over 20 years old and still tossing out accurate ammunition.

Besides, it collapses into itself for storage, that's a real bonus!

I have RCBS 5-0-5 and 10-10 scales that I have been using for over 25 years but I'm looking at the electronic ones now.

              for match ammo, I do...
It goes pretty fast if you first dump a 'close' charge with the powder measure, then let the machine trickle in the balance. Especially with the stick powders that don't meter well through the powder measures to begin with.

The automatic dispenser is equivalant to a powder thrower. The idea is to automatically throw a charge, then perfect it automatically with the trickler. So yea, he weighs every load, but it's automated.

When I'm loading 50BMG, I weigh every load on a Denver Instrument electronic balance. When I'm loading small caliber stuff, it depends on what I am loading for. Sometimes I will and sometimes I won't.

The automated dispenser just seems like it would be slow compared to a standard scale.

I understand the need to weigh each charge for match loading, but for plinking ammo it looks like that auto dispenser would really drag the process out.

Yes I weigh every load for rifles. Most of it is for precision.

for handguns I just load with a lee turret and a autodisk powder measure.

someday I will step up to a Dillon but can't afford it right now. Too many guns to buy.

Go with the balance beam scale. It's a lot quicker to set up (no warm up time) and you don't have to calibrate it all the time. Plus, one never knows where the digital scale is set to round up to the next number on the readout.

And with the exception of one load for .45 ACP, I weigh every charge.
