Strong mount vs ultramount

I just bought a square deal and now I'm looking for a mount. Of the 2 which one would you get?

I have one on my SDB. It's a much better product that the strong mount. And, you can buy different base plates that allow you to swap different presses quite easily. I also, have the Dual bin support and highly recommend it as well. http://inlinefabrication.com/collect...-square-deal-b

Inline is just awesome. The build quality you get for the money is really something. Get their ergo handle if it's available for your press as well, that's probably my favorite of the stuff I've purchased from them in terms of overall comfort.

I find that I do a mix of standing and sitting. The bar or shop stool is a good idea; Lowe's carries one that's decent. I'm taller than you are, so I had to shorten it a bit, but in your case, it'd probably be perfect.

I stand when removing primers (especially military crimped primers), resizing cases, and often when trimming rifle cases. For everything else, I'll tend to sit. I use a turret press, so the various operations are disjoint; if I used a progressive, I'd probably stand the whole time.

It's all about what works for you, and also about the physics involved -- for example, resizing a rifle case isn't something I could do while sitting for very long.

Recommend talking to Dan at Inline about your setup, as he has at least three options for height, and he had good suggestions in my case.

Inline Fabrication all the way!

I had an Inline Fabrication for my single stage press. However, when I saw a YouTube video where the reviewer had to trim the cartridge drop attachment for the 550B press to make it fit for the Inline Fabrication press I went for the strong mount. Dillon sends a new cartridge drop attachment for the strong mount. I prefer to have things work out of the box.

I did order the Inline Fabrication light though.

Standing with the ability to sit since I have a tall drafting style adjustable chair. I'm 6' tall their ultramount puts everything at a comfortable height on my bench.

Just ordered the ultramount with bins and led light! Can't wait to get it and mounted up. I will take pictures when ask is said and done. Thanks for all the advice!

I bought the inline quick change mount, with plates for my 550b, my new Rock Chucker, and even my Dillon super swage.

It's built supremely solid. No wiggle. Changing between presses takes about 30 seconds.

I emailed the guy who makes them and told him my setup, he recommended a mount height and the proper handle for reloading standing.

I'm extremely pleased with this setup, and I replaced a Dillon strong mount with it. There was nothing wrong with the Dillon, but the inks in is far nicer, thicker, and enables me to switch presses.

I have the Dillon strong mount which appears to flex a little bit. Is this ultra mount more solid than the Dillon one and worth replacing?
