    Quality father daughter time

She had the great idea that I need to do some reloading and she would help. After walking her through the the process from setting up dies to checking powder charge and verifying powder drop was correct and case length and oal. I loaded 50-60 round and she want to pull the handle. Here is a short clip.

That's awesome, as a father of two girls under two, I get pretty excited thinking about days like this.

      Lucky dad
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

That is too cool to be able to do. Maybe she had them on and I couldn't see, but I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention safety glasses while reloading.

Why is she double-stroking that round?

I would not shoot her reloads. You did explain to her that she is not allowed to let anyone else shoot her reloads until she has gotten better form I hope...

                  Just saying...

You should post a movie of her using the calipers and the scale. Make sure she is checking COAL...

And I thought I was old. My daughter is only 50 yrs old.

Dang Dude, you're even older than I thought. She's shooting that Winchester in the first year of production.

A buddy did likewise with his oldest daughter at about the same age. Seems she liked to pull the handle of that Rockchucker. The rule was (and remains), "OK, but only when Daddy's in the reloading room with you." That girl is now a teenager and has learned what boys are.

His youngest is now 6 and loves to catch her own fish. She's a chip off the ol' block and will probably be next helping Daddy reload. Unlike the older one, this one's not squeamish at all and has no problem with getting her hands dirty. Naturally, he's in heaven.

Both of my daughters now would rather shoot than reload, but the grandsons now help sort brass to pay for press time loading .410.
