Question? Is there such a unit

I am trying to get into the reloading gig and have been trying to educate myself the best I can spending time in forums as well as looking at different reloaders and their manufacturers.
My question is I am trying to find out if there are two separate reloaders made by Dillion, the 500 and then a 500B. I am presuming that both have the prefix of "RL".
If there is actually two separate machines by these designations, can someone please explain to me or list a URL of where I can go read for myself the information on both of them.
I actually want a 650 but any that come up used and are not only worth getting for what is there but affordable within my fixed income, that are scooped up real quick. Then I figured the RL 550 would obvioiusly be cheaper and most likely more 'plentiful' to be had.
Thanks in advance for any information or help comes this way.
Hope all had a Merry Christmas..

This may be the place to start, if you haven't already:

Dillon Precision is the premiere manufacturer of firearm ammunition reloading equipment in the USA. We sell reloaders, reloader accessories, firearm accessories and gear to retail and B2B customers.

From what I read the BL 550 is the basic reloader without the automatic primer and powder systems. They list it at $259.99:

Dillon Precision is the premiere manufacturer of firearm ammunition reloading equipment in the USA. We sell reloaders, reloader accessories, firearm accessories and gear to retail and B2B customers.

Their RL 550B is a bit more elaborate, costing $439.00 or $736.00 as pictured on the web page:

Dillon Precision is the premiere manufacturer of firearm ammunition reloading equipment in the USA. We sell reloaders, reloader accessories, firearm accessories and gear to retail and B2B customers.

Then there is the RL550B without the caliber conversion kit. Listed for $394.00:

Dillon Precision is the premiere manufacturer of firearm ammunition reloading equipment in the USA. We sell reloaders, reloader accessories, firearm accessories and gear to retail and B2B customers.

This is the one they recommend for someone who wants to use two RL500B presses, as the second press, after buying the RL500B with the conversion kit.

Read all that stuff on the site, write down your questions and then give Dillon a call, I bet they will help you. One thing I learned, always buy the press with all the features you need, don't skimp, save up and purchase the whole enchilada. Yeah, I know my patience is tested too, I want it all now.

As far as I know, the "B" version just has a few upgrades so that the press is a bit safer. Only the B is offered new. I had dillon rebuild my 550b and they do upgrades at that time, if your press has the older equipment. I sent in an old powder thrower and they sent back a brand new thrower that is the new style. If you do get a used press and need it worked on, they charge around $65 to cover shipping back to you and usually cover parts and labor under that fee.

You didn't say what calibers you were looking to reload. If you are just looking at pistol and have no intentions of EVER going to rifle, look at the Dillon Square Deal "B". You will often see used ones discounted more than the 550b because they are pistol only presses and use proprietary dies. But they are great presses if pistol is all you want.

I thought the B stood for BASIC so you got the press with the basic things needed to reload and not all of the fancy stuff. I also do not own a Dillon press but I get the BLUE PRESS every month...
