Anyone have experience on RCBS Pro Chucker 5???

I'm sitting on $500 of Amazon credit and thinking of picking up the RCBS Pro Chucker 5 which can be delivered tomorrow for $517. Not much user reviews when doing the standard Google search.

I load 9mm, .38/.357, .40, .45acp, .223 on single stage RCBS Rock Chucker and RCBS 5 stage progressive Piggy Back 2. I use 5 stations as I bought taper crimps to crimp on its own stage.

Dillion 550 isn't an option as that is a 4 stage. Dillion 650 on Amazon is $650 which all come packaged with one caliber. 4 RCBS tool heads ($20) and 5 RCBS shell plates($30-$40) will cost me up to $280 max. 4 Dillion tool heads ($40), 4 shell plates ($40) and 1 quick primer change ($80) I am at $400. Add the higher price of a 650 and it is $550, almost double what I would spend on a Pro Chucker 5.

I am perfectly fine with the piggy back I currently use as it gets the job done. I just figured with $500 Amazon credit I could get something reloading related. To spend $550 to replace what I currently have doesn't seem like a good deal to me. I rather spend a couple hundred more and buy another gun. $280 seems reasonable to pay for an upgrade I really don't need. Any thoughts besides "Dillion is the BEST EVER!!!". Really want to hear actual user reviews on Pro Chucker 5.

Buy a scope or something else if ur good with what u got. No need to jump into something u don't need then have to buy periferals all over again.

The word on the street is that the prochuckers have primer arm issues, but some say they fixed it some they didn't. Most have issues within the first 100-200 reloads and are left calling RCBS for replacement parts. As with most of the RCBS progressive stuff, it's finicky and all the kinks are not worked out yet. A Google search will reveal some of the current issues. Good read on THR about this.

But then again u can't believe everything u read on the net. My post included BTW.

I lust for the Prochucker 7. I know I don't need it. However lusting for a prochucker 7 is safer than lusting for a coed cheerleader.

Dillon 650 can use a casefeeder. End of debate for me.

The Pro Chucker 5 is just late to the party for a 5 station with regular primer handling, and it costs to much like most things RCBS (love my dies though). I will wait until someone rigs a case feeder for the ProChucker 7.

Yeah I gotta go with Ferrum on this one.

Maybe you can have a coed cheerleader pull your handle and raise your shaft though, then she would definitely be a small base die and I recco some case lube to dispell any issues... Come on now, don't be afraid to show her all 10mm... :P

I am sorry. What were we talking about?

Oh yes, OP: if the piggyback is working fine for you, I say keep it. Use the $500 to get some other stuff that is needed. Like, I dunno. A coed cheerleader?

Two chicks at once, but that might be a bit more on the cost scale.
