Sellier & Bellot primers, worth it?

Can't find a lot in the way of reviews of the primers. Looking at buying large pistol primers for .45 acp. Are they worth buying in bulk? How are they compared to other primers in terms of how well they'll work in a progressive press and how much force is needed to detonate them?

They're cheap as heck at Cabela's at $20/1000 and there seems to be no practical limit on how much you can order and still get the $20 flat rate shipping.

Heard good things about them theres another post floating around here on them. Almost brought some the other day for no good reason but couldnt stomach paying the $20 shipping when others got free shipping a few weeks ago

I believe they're pretty hard primers. From what I read, they're good primers and probably the best deal currently available. I bought 10,000 last month but I haven't got around to reloading any yet , still draining off my remaining Tula primers.

I think there is a limit on Haz Mat UPS weight. I have read 48 lbs on powder and I thought I read about a limit on primers but I can't recall.

Powder Valley has Sellier & Bellot primers at $22/k, I was thinking of trying some when I make my next order.

              GOD BLESS SoB!

When I asked PVI how long before Tula primers were back down to $16/ 1k they said NEVER. I say HAH! Then I shall call my daddy and have him export 300 million into the US at half the price of others...

And then I realized that my dad would not know what the hell I was talking about so I went back outside and pulled more weeds.

Ordered some primers from Cabela's over a month ago....$20 Hazmat fee. Lowest I know of.

Just shot 100 large pistol, 200 small rifle, 200 small pistol primers last weekend. No duds. Hope that helps.

You got a few hours left on their $5 shipping for orders over $99. It looks to me like they have no weight limit on the $20 hazmat fee too.

B*stards. They were just 19.99/K and 5% shipping end of July.
Other than the massive popularity of the 9mm Parabellum round, the metric system never really caught on here...
