    Powder Coated Reloading Data?

Shooting at an indoor range and my lead reloads are sure smokey. Been thinking on buying powder coated over copper plated to save a little on cost. My question is do I load powder coated bullets with lead data or copper plate data? Reloading 45acp 200gr and 9mm 124gr. Was looking at Missouri Bullet Company unless someone has a cheaper source. Thanks in advance.

*Update* At this time Im not interested in casting and powder coating my own, just want to buy cheap projectiles even if its just a couple dollars, with less smoke for indoor ranges.

If your lead reloads have a lube band, that may be your problem. The bullets I have tried with lube bands have been very smoky for me. I use moly coated or plated.

You use hard cast lead data for both plated and coated bullets. When checking out the cost of bullets please make sure to include the shipping cost.
Missouri bullet company, SNSCasting, and Bayou Bullets all seem to use the same coating.
Most people on this forum seem to prefer Extreme for plated, but there is also Berrys, and many others I cant remember.
You might also want to check into American reloading, RMR Bullets, and Powder Valley. I was a little surprised that PV has good prices on Berrys.
And as others will tell you, there are lots of new coatings out now like moly, so have lots of fun trying them out, and decide what is best for you.

Take a look at Gateway bullets. Coated with their Super Hi Tek coating. They're working out pretty good for me.

If you cast your own, then powder coat them yourself. There's tons of info on Castboolits forum. I use cast load data for my PC boolits. Since I've got into casting and PC, I will never go back to plated bullets for handguns. Eventually I need to explore 7.62x39 for my SKS.

heh. I buy CAST lead bullets, remove the wax lube, then PC them and resize them and shoot them...

All you really need is another toaster oven and save your salsa containers, maybe a small pack of softair pellets. Oh, and powder...
