California Ammo Prices - Table Attached

I did some legwork on some ammo prices for myself, and thought I would share it.

The ammo sizes I researched were 9mm, 40SW, and 45ACP.

Some caveats:

1. All prices are for 1,000 round purchases
2. All prices INCLUDE SHIPPING to Southern California
3. Green means the best price on a particular caliber from THAT VENDOR
4. Yellow means second-best price(s) on a particular caliber from THAT VENDOR
5. Purple means best price from ANY VENDOR on THAT PARTICULAR BRAND
6. Best price status shared by more than one vendor if not more than $2 difference
7. Gray means poor price
8. BLZR BRS is Blazer Brass (Blazer aluminum not represented here)
9. Blue (except for 45ACP ammo brands) means Russian, steel-cased, and/or steel-projectile ammo
10. Russian ammo USUALLY not figured into best price or 2nd best price scenarios
11. Dash for ammo price means not carried by vendor
12. No price, no dash, and gray for ammo price means price not checked
13. Ridiculous prices mean that I don't bother checking all brands from that vendor
14. Prices are for 6/22/15 only, and include any sales going on AT THAT TIME

I found that once you hit 500 rounds, things start getting cheaper. Once you hit 10 boxes (500 rounds) many vendors start lowering their price per box - usually by $.50 off or more, per box of 50. Some start lowering their shipping charges as well.

So, I have decided to not order ammo unless I am get 1,000 rounds or more. It starts adding up! $$$.

It is very pretty, but I think you might want to recheck ANYTHING having to do with natchez. I have fallen in love with some of the things I found on their site and then I got to the SHIPPING portion of the order and THAT was when I left their website...

But very nice and very pretty. I think we should take a vote and let you into the calguns ammo and reloading club for doing this. It shows that you really want to belong here.

I've ordered from them many times, never any problems. One time they accidentally sent me the +P version of what I ordered, it was an easy return.

UPDATES

• Made chart larger
• Grouped Tula and Wolf (Russian ammo) together to avoid confusion
• Added in Target Sports, which bests SG in more than a couple of areas
  
• Allowed more than one vendor to hold "lowest price" title if within $2 of lowest price

Gonna add other places now too like 3rd generation, midway, grafs, etc etc?

And then do not forget to visit each website every day and check that the prices are the same for every item.
