I need 8MM Mauser Ammo

Is there a restriction in the area you live in that won't allow you to receive ammo directly, or is that Midway's policy? What do the other web-sites tell you?

There is no restriction here in the AV. There is in the City of Los Angeles, but not the County of Los Angeles. What do you mean that Midway would not ship to you? Are you under 18 years old?

The Gun Shop in Lancaster has some good reloadable Seller & Bellot for ~$8/20. Shoots real good in my Turk M98. Other than that, hit the Glendale Gun show this weekend.

AIM doesn't require an FFL to receive ammo shipments, and neither should Midway. What reason did Midway give for demanding such foolishness? Antelope Valley isn't one of the ***-minded CA cities which have barred law-abising citizens from exercising their rights.

I was told that since I ws in L.A. county that they would not ship to me unless I found a FFL licensed dealer. I am 25 so I don't understand what the problem is. I don't deal with THE GUN SHOP in Lancaster they are a bunch of over priced idiots in there. They always give me an attitude when I go in there so I just decided to not give them my business. Especially since they would not help me receive an out of state gun to help me out, with out charging me an arm and a leg for a PPT and Back ground fee even when I offered to buy 1000 rounds of their ammo if they helped me out.

You need to nicely explain to them that what they are applying to you is a CITY ordinance, not a COUNTY ordinance and that you don't live in the CITY of LA.

The Gun Shop has always done right by me and their prices are lower than High Desert Storm and Santa Fe gun shop on guns, ammo and reloading supplies. But, I understand that personal chemistry is always a factor in human relationships. All shops will charge a transfer fee. That is just the nature of things.

Other places that will do a firearms transfer are the aforementioned gun shops, Rick's Pawn in Lancaster and the Palmdale Pawnshop in Palmdale.

Back to ammo: There is a gun show in Bakersfield this coming weekend. The last show I went to, I found 8X57 milsurp sniper ammo for $6.50 for a box of 15 and PMC SP Hunting ammo for $12 a box of 20.
