Dillon warranty question--edit, it's covered, replacement on the way!

I am the second owner of a 550b. I understand dillon is very good about warranty replacement of parts.

My question is, is what broke on my press covered? The clamp part of the primer warning buzzer has cracked.

I was in a shop that carries dillon stuff and the owner told me to call and they would send me a replacement.

I looked on dillons site, and this part is an add on to their presses. Is it still covered?

Just thought I'd check it out before calling.

    Thanks.

Dillon is the best in ANY industry for warranty and customer service. Even if it is not covered, chances are they will only charge you shipping. I have a 1050, 2 650's 3 550's , a 450. a 900, and a SDB. I also have a ton of presses in the garage that never get used any more in colors other than blue. If you are looking for reloading machines or equipment, I cannot give Dillon a strong enough endorsement.

I love my blue machine, but darn I need to be your friend so I can try to talk you out of one of those other color presses as a back up. I just can't afford to have as many blue presses as you have.

They'll definitely take care of you. I had my primer warning box break and they sent a new "side" of the two piece box.

I also bought the maintenance kit, and when something breaks, I use the piece out of the kit and then call them to send me a replacement so I can stay up and running. Of course, I've only had a few small parts break in over 10 years of loading..

Why go to the peanut gallery to have your questions answered about Dillon warrantee? Call Dillon ask them about their warrantee, be honest tell them your story and they will inform you what they will cover.

You will be very happy with their warrantee.

C'mon Citadel just send Dillon an email letting them know your a high power attorney / firm partner and if they don't send you a complete new press you will see them in court.

Just kidding but we could see what happens.

I bought a used 550 some years ago. I called Dillon with a few question about it. 1 question I asked was how much do they charge to go through it to make sure its all working properly. They told me to send the press to them and they would call with an estimate on the charges. A week later I have a box from Dillon at my door step when I get home and it my press totally refurbished with all the current upgrades. NO CHARGE !!! UNBELIEVABLE !!! Packing list that was included listed over $250.00 worth of parts replaced which included a brand new powder dispenser. Dillon is THE BEST !!!

I have called them several times, and they replaced my parts free of charge every time.

If you have it, they will cover it. This goes for accessories, add ons, and extra parts. Rest assured that if it is manufactured by Dillon, it will be covered for life, regardless of whether or not your the original buyer (1050 is excluded for some reason)

1050 is a commercial machine and just like fleet cars they have different warranties.

Survey says......after a long hold, Ron at Dillon is shipping a whole new unit to me. They recently updated the clamp area.
